Ep 105: Prep Before You Get Your 8(a)

In this episode, we talk with Melissa Peterson about Preparation Before You Get Your 8(a). The 8(a) program is the only business development certification that the government has. Unlike other certifications, the 8(a) only lasts for nine (9) years. This means you can’t take three to five years to learn the government market while in the program. If you do that, you will waste 50% of your time in the program. The best way to take full advantage of this program is to hit the ground running. This episode will show you how Melissa did this and she will talk about winning a multi-million dollar contract just days after getting her 8(a). Spoiler alert… A lot of work went into setting up that win BEFORE she had her 8(a).
