About the Show – Game Changers was designed BY government contractors FOR government contractors. The focus of every episode is to give listeners a new tip, trick, or strategy that will help them find and win more contracts. Each episode features Subject Matter Experts (SME), companies that are successfully winning contracts, or nationally recognized professional speakers and authors. The show is hosted by government expert Michael LeJeune. Michael is a bestselling author and partner at RSM Federal. Michael also manages RSM Federal’s – Federal Access Coaching and Training platform for government contractors. Game Changers releases a new episode each week.
Our Audience – Approximately 80% of our listeners are small business owners and executives (under $50M annual Revenues). The other 20% of our listeners are made up of large business executives, sales people, contracting officers, and government employees.
Logistics – We record via Riverside.fm. It offers the best audio/video quality for the show. We recently started recording video for the show to display on YouTube. We try to shoot for about 20 to 25 minutes per podcast. However, we typically block out an hour for the recording to properly test audio/video settings. Once your request is accepted, Michael will reach out to you to schedule your recording date/time. We typically record months in advance and have a wait list. Submitting a topic does not guarantee that you will be accepted for the show.
Mic – Laptop mics will NOT work for the podcast. We recommend using a USB microphone. One of the best entry level mics is the ATR 2100. You can usually find it on Amazon for between $50 and $80. Our personal favorite is the Blue Yeti. You can typically find it for around $125. If you are planning to do other podcasts, spend the extra few bucks to get the Yeti.
Headphones – You need headphones. Get headphones that plug into your mic. Check your mic for specs.
System Check – Test your setup prior to the recording. Make sure you know it works and how to operate it. This will make recording day less stressful and allow you to focus on your content instead of your system.
Your Topic – Your topic must be educational in nature and focus on at least two to three Game Changers that will help companies win more government contracts. You are allowed to talk about your company, but this is a pitch free zone.
